Construction of the new maternity unit and staff accomodation began in September 2019. Progress has been really encouraging, despite the heavy rains. By December 2019, foundations had been completed and the roof timbers were in place. By February 2020, the roof of the maternity clinic was in place and the internal rooms were being plastered. The two duplex houses, which will provide accommodation for four more staff members and their families, were also progressing really well.
