AMECA believes that education should be a right and not a privilege.
Healthcare students in Malawi are often unable to afford the high cost of their academic fees, with the result that they sometimes simply abandon their studies, or they are denied the opportunity to ever take up their places.
AMECA is committed to sponsoring medical students and has increased the number of scholarships being awarded to medical and other healthcare students, a list of which can be viewed at this link. We are also proud to have the support of The Canadian Medical Foundation this year, who currently sponsor 4 students at KUHeS, (College of Medicine). The students are a joy to know; their gratitude is palpable and we watch their progress through their studies with profound interest.
Greetings, I Aubrey Filimoni, would like to express my gratitude for the unwavering support I get through the AMECA TRUST.
Bernard was awarded a scholarship for his 5-year Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, (MBBS) at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, (College of Medicine).
“I would like to thank you for the support given to me in terms of tuition fee of my studies, monthly upkeep and the modern laptop. This has come at right time when I was almost giving up on my studies due to challenges related to lack of support you have just given me. I will be grateful for your continued support and I promise to work hard.”
Heartfelt congratulations to our students who have completed their Diploma in Clinical Medicine at the College of Health Sciences.
