Following the extensive renovations at Chilomoni Health Centre, the water tower collapsed due to lack of maintenance.Although water was still available to the health centre, later in the year, the water system failed completely, which has led to a critical situation at the health centre, especially for the Maternity Department. It transpired that there was a large underground leak somewhere; given the age of the pipework, a decision was taken by AMECA to fund the rebuilding of the water tower and completey new pipes for all departments.

Work began on the 13th Novemeber and we hope to be able to bring you news soon of the restoration of water to the health centre.
