The St Theresa’s Hospital is an agency hospital in the Lawra District of the Upper West Region of Ghana and located in the Wa Dioceses. As a referral health institution, the hospital not only manages referred cases in the district alone but also manage cases referred from the neighbouring districts. The hospital serves a population of over 50,000 and also serves people in Lambussie/Karni and Sissala west districts and people from neighbouring Burkina Faso.
Alongside more general medicine, the hospital provides eye, urological and orthopaedic specialized services amongst others provided from time to time by visiting specialists from both in and outside of the country.
Medical Students, Nursing students, Dentistry Students, Laboratory technology students and volunteers interested in health care volunteering and support works are all welcome. All specialties of medical professional welcomed.
The hospital is within 20 minutes walking distance to a bus terminal that links Nandom to the rest of Ghana. Fly into Accra and join a bus to Nandom in the Upper West Region of Ghana.
