I rotated here in 2012 as a final year medical student interested in General Surgery. I spent 2.5 months assisting with patient care and operative cases including general surgery, OB/GYN, and orthopedics. Dr. Henry Ndasi is an excellent mentor and very knowledgeable, having completed a general surgery residency and an orthopedic fellowship. There is a good balance of autonomy and teaching. I also had the opportunity to work with the GPs, including with Dr. Edouard’s Infectious Disease/Burkitts Lymphoma service. This hospital is offers a wide variety of patients, friendly staff, and nearby ocean and jungle/volcano to visit on the weekends. Would highly recommend.
