Anyone for a trip to Malawi?

As you know we have had students participating in fundraising challenges on our behalf for a while now, however we were always wondering why the students should have all the fun? Well, now anybody can! We are thrilled to let you know that Secret Compass, an adventure travel company, co-founded by Alex’s friend Capt. Lev Wood, has put together a two-week exciting fundraising challenge in Malawi, to take place in October 2014. It is hoped that the departure date will coincide with the two- week half term that many schools now have in October, therefore allowing any teachers to participate.

Secret Compass is aware that you are not necessarily 21 anymore, (well physically anyway!) and the group will embrace the varying fitness levels of the participants. Your welfare and safety is very important to Secret Compass who has substantial experience of adventure travel and you will be accompanied by a member of their UK staff throughout. I am also intending to go so hope that is a plus for you!!

Please take a look at the flyer and the Secret Compass Ameca Expedition page to find out a little about what is on offer. Secret Compass has tried to offer a little of everything in order for you to experience as much as possible about Malawi during your trip. Please do pass this on to friends, family etc.

Yes, the fundraising target is a big ask, but in addition to the cost of the challenge you will be raising much-needed funds for our new project!! Once you have booked your place with secret Compass, AMECA will email you a fundraising pack for ideas on how to fundraise and on making a Virgin Money Page, which you will need to do for on-line donations. AMECA will give you every support with fundraising.

There are only 20 places for this challenge, so let us know if you are interested in participating.
